How Much Should You Really Show Off When It Comes to Clothes

How Much Should You Really Show Off When It Comes to Clothes

Do you ever look in the mirror and think “Man, should I really be wearing this?” or “I’m probably going to get judged for what I’ve put on.” Well chances are you’re probably showing off a little too much. Honestly I know from experience and I have a little story to tell that changed everything.

My Story

Not too long ago I made some poor decisions as far as what I did and the clothes I wore. My brother is a few years older than me and he has friends over all the time. I’d be left home alone with him and his friends and stuff like that. A lot of the time my age is mistaken for 3 or 4 years older because I’m tall and look older so to them were equal.

One of my brothers friends were staying the night one night and my brother was asleep. I had yoga pants on which clearly showed my butt. I got up to do something and went to set back down on the couch and accidently sat on his feet (which he had there on purpose) and then I said oops sorry and got up for him to move them and he didn’t. He told me to set back down. He was older than me and I guess I thought that was cool so I sat back down to where his feet could feel my butt through those yoga pants.

Honestly, that was only the beginning. He ended up doing worse stuff to me and I found myself in a bad place. I was hanging out with bad people, dating random guys, and I was terrified to go anywhere alone. About a month later I met new friends and found god and I’m doing really good now. I’m on the straight A honor roll and I’m pretty popular at my school. I’m a member or our schools cheer and golf team and guess what… I still have nice supportive friends and no yoga pants or inappropriate shorts are in my wardrobe!

Tips

1.        I don’t really believe the fingertip rule is right because if you have long arms like me you’ll be wearing shorts to your knees. Honestly I just think they should cover your butt.

2.  If you’re going to wear yoga pants be sure to wear a shirt that covers your but because you don’t want to attract unwanted attention unless you’re running or at the gym.

3.    I don’t think it’s bad to show just a little bit of your belly but if your shirt only goes to your chest you probably want to find something longer.

If you dress this way more than likely you’ll find a boy who respects you and treats you right. Not one that uses you up and throws you away. Your friends may be wearing this stuff but they are probably not going to be treated with respect.

Who You Hang Around Is Who Youll Become

Have you ever been in a sticky situation? One so sticky you can hardly move? Believe me I know, I’ve been there. My life’s been crazy up and down left and right and just recently I’ve finally really got a grip. I’ve got a grip on not only my life, but a golf club and a fresh new bible. I realized it was the people around me I was hanging out with.

Think you got a good group of friends? A nice clique? Ask yourself these questions:

1.         Are any of these people involved in drugs?

2.   Do they make good grades?

3.     How is their home situation?

4.    Do they have a good personality, nice and respectful?

Believe me, If their into drugs, their grades are in the toilet, they’re not being treated right at home or they don’t have one, or they are mean, cruel, and a liar then honestly you probably don’t want to be around those kinds of people. Most likely if you hang around those kinds of people then you’ll become one yourself.

Honestly, you may think that stuff is cool. Trust me; you’re not going to think its cool when you’re fighting to get a job at McDonalds to pay for food and the drugs you “need” to buy. I haven’t ever been in that situation but I’ve seen people in that place.

If you’re in a place like that right now, you’re not alone. Just leave a comment below if you’d like to have a more private conversation about what you’re going through, and I’ll leave my email  below on the next post.

I also just wanted to thank you all for your comments and helping BR reach 8,000 views. I will also be sure to check out all your blogs!

Confused

Okay, so im literally so confused. Im angry, sad, ad just a tiny little bit happy. I mean I like him but I don't. This whole thing is just really confusing. Lets go back a few days....
Me and a guy ( lets just call him A ) had been talking a lot, only as friends because he liked another girl. He came over every day this week and most of last week. He started dating that girl today. She is  really big brat but im definitely not telling him that. Anyway, every since they started dating today we've been talking less. Im also confused because I think I like him but I really really don't want to like him. He's been reading my messages I can tell because it shows me on my phone and I don't know what to do.

Im really super confused. Comment what you think I should do or if you have had a past experience like this one. Want to share your story? Email me: mysecret4646@gmail.com

Parent Problems

I’m kindve crying right now and I really don't know what to do. I think I've learned a valuable lesson that I think everyone else needs to know so they don't make the same mistake I have. Here is my story:

So it all started off earlier when I decided to go shopping with my money for earrings. Everything was good I picked out my earrings and paid. My mom started to get mad because the lady behind the cash register ripped her off. Then she was already mad and things escalated and got worse. I was in trouble for wearing mascara. She was yelling at me and asking where I got it. I had told her I used hers because I hesitated but I actually bought it at Kroger with my own money and a self scanner. She hasn't figured that out yet but I have everything taken away at the moment and I feel this punishment is severe. I’m using my brother’s laptop to type this because I don't know what else to do with my feelings. I have learned a lesson here and id like to share it: Girls, don't dress in booty shorts or tight skirts and belly shirts. All you’re doing is losing respect for yourself. If a guy likes you it should be because he thinks your beautiful without caking makeup on your face or wearing shorts with your but hanging out. Another thing I’d like to share is obey your parents. Even though my parents are punishing me right now im not mad because they know what's best for me. I know I deserve this. This is to all these young girls who want to dress like I did. Parents, who are reading this, show your kids this. It’s a lesson every girl will figure out sooner or later in life but after reading this the situation could be a little less painful.

Typing this has taught me a lesson. I hope it teaches you one too.

Ive Been Used

Words can’t even explain how I’m feeling right now. Sad, depressed, maybe both. I have finally realized I've been used as this has never happened before. I bet many of you have been used. Its a terrible thing and I hope many of you can relate to this story with past experiences:

We started off talking. He had a girlfriend but we were only friends. I was so happy and talking to him made me have no worries. He was just amazing. I was so happy. Then, a few days later we started to get serious saying things like “Things are better when you’re around “and” You’re the best I love you “our relationship was getting deeper. The next day he broke up with his girlfriend and said he liked me. Then the girl he broke up with started to send me hateful messages. He kept calling me babe and saying he loved me. Today I saw him with her and he was eating lunch with her and they were both flirting. I was devastated by 4th period. Later today he asked why my instagram bio said taken when he made it clear we were dating. Now he's dating the other girl and she hates me and I’m alone. Since I have a ton of other friends to support me I’m a little bit better now but sharing this with you all has made me feel like I don't need him and I’m fine.

I appreciate all of you commenting and it really motivates us to keep sharing these stories with you! You can always reach both of us at Mysecret4646@gmail.com if you have any drama or just anything you need to share or talk about.

No matter what

Have you ever been confused about your life? Have you ever wondered your purpose? Well, everyone has a place and a purpose. Even through the hardest times. You may think you’re worthless but you’re not. Look in the mirror your beautiful. Don't you dare put yourself down! Love yourself there is someone out there who would die inside if you died.

Sometimes, songs or movies can encourage you to feel better. Some encouraging songs that might make you feel better are:

·      I won’t give up

·      Till I collapse – Eminem

·      Headlights – Eminem

And those are only just a few.

2 of my favorite movies are the most encouraging.

1.        Cyber bully- true story

2.  Bully – true story
